Peter Giamalva Named President and Managing Director of NorthCourseSM Advisory ServicesApril 2, 2007
PARSIPPANY, NJ - March 22, 2007 - NorthCourse Leisure Real Estate Solutions, a division of RCI Global Vacation Network, announced the appointment of Peter Giamalva as President and Managing Director of NorthCourse’s Advisory Services business, effective immediately. In this role, Giamalva will be responsible for managing and developing NorthCourse’s advisory services business, which provides high-quality consulting services to leisure real estate developers, tourism investors and hospitality companies for shared ownership and mixed use developments. Services provided include market analysis, feasibility studies, business modeling, product design, demand analysis, consumer and market research, and sales and marketing strategy development. “The exploding growth of shared ownership real estate in all regions of the globe demands quality leisure real estate consulting services,” said Kenneth N. May, Chairman and CEO, RCI Global Vacation Network. “Peter’s extensive background in the travel and tourism industry is a great asset and will help NorthCourse support the business needs of developers worldwide.” Giamalva has close to thirty years of global experience in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. He joined RCI in 1999 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager of the company’s Leisure Rental division. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of RCI’s Europe and Middle East region. Prior to joining RCI, he led international operations and travel industry marketing for Budget Rent A Car corporation. Previously, he spent 12 years in the package vacation business, where he helped establish and grow Thomson Vacations (now Apple Vacations.) Giamalva holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn.
